Green glow of destruction

The path is still.
Quiet.
Dark.

A silent music starts to play,
a soft green glow in the darkness.

My body becomes visible
as I step into the network of glowing orbs.

Your face is highlighted
I see a sadness,
caused by me, I wonder.

I stay myself,
to watch you in the green glow.

Your limp hands.
Your bent head.
Your down turned lips.
Your pale cheeks.
Your shadowed eyes.
Your unspirited aura.

What have I, what am I, doing to you?
Am I your destruction, I wonder.

You lift your bent head
Your eyes seek mine.

Your face glowed with your smile,
your spirit drew me in.
The destruction became mine.

Hey meenu, this poem is wonderful. As you said, not all poems need to have a rhyme to it. This poem is full of imagination, it's really good. Congratulations! :)
